As a school support worker at Splash, you’ll be helping pupils who need extra support in their day-to-day school life due to a disability. You’ll be there to support the children and young people with patience, empathy and dedication.
Your duties are varied: you’ll help the children understand the subject matter, explain things patiently and encourage them to overcome their challenges. You’ll also provide practical support, for example with getting dressed, eating or other everyday activities.
Through your empathetic support, you help the children to gain self-confidence and foster their zest for life. Thanks to this support, the children are able to make new friends, develop their talents and enjoy school life. Your work helps to ensure that they feel at home at school and can move forward with confidence.
